Hyunjae is a South Korea-based author-illustrator with a background in Western Painting and Art Education. Her years as a middle school art teacher deepened her love of creating for children and eventually led her to the world of picture books. She now creates stories filled with gentle moments of warmth, wonder, and imagination.

Her work spans picture books, book covers, educational publishing, editorial illustration, and commissioned projects. Working both traditionally and digitally, she enjoys bringing the texture and warmth of hand-painted work into her illustrations.

When she isn’t drawing, Hyunjae enjoys spending time with her two cats, who are a constant source of inspiration.
